Cookies are browser-stored information. Local storage is separate browser storage for a website origin. Embedded services can receive connection and usage information even without setting cookies.

Launch configuration

• No WP Statistics, Jetpack Stats, advertising/remarketing tracker or newsletter is activated in the fresh launch.
• WordPress uses authentication/login-testing and administration-preference cookies for authorised administrators. These are not general visitor analytics cookies.
• The Blog comment form does not offer a cookie option to remember the commenter’s name, email and website.
• afroluxe_media_preferences is first-party local storage for the visitor’s Spotify/YouTube choices: version, provider choices and expiry. It contains no analytics visitor identifier. Choices are valid for up to 180 days after saving; an expired record can remain physically stored but is ignored. If storage is unavailable, the choice is held in memory for the current page only.

Optional media

Spotify players remain off until permission is given. Remembered Spotify permission can allow subsequent players to load. YouTube uses its privacy-enhanced player and loads after Play is pressed; remembered permission does not automatically start another video.

When loaded, these providers receive connection information and may use their own cookies, storage and usage information. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean no data processing. Provider items and lifetimes vary by service, account and browser; no unverified fixed provider-cookie lifetime is asserted here.

The footer’s Privacy Settings provides separate choices, Accept media, Reject media and Save choices. Withdrawal unloads managed players and prevents subsequent automatic loading. It does not recall information already sent or necessarily remove provider cookies, account activity or storage. Browser settings can separately restrict or delete site data. Different origins/browsers have separate choices.

External music, social and ticket links open services governed by their own notices. Provider information: Spotify Cookie Policy and Google Privacy Policy.

These media controls do not advertise an analytics choice because launch analytics is disabled. If the operator later introduces a service requiring a further choice, it must be implemented and this notice updated before activation.
